Safe, Effective Solutions from Your Local Pest Pros

Boise spider control is one of the most common services homeowners need throughout the Treasure Valley. If you live in Boise, chances are you’ve seen more than your fair share of spiders—whether they’re hiding in garage corners, under patio furniture, or inside your home. From surprise encounters in the shower to webs draping your eaves, spiders are one of the most common pest problems we solve.

At Boise Pest Pros, we understand your concerns—not just because we treat them professionally, but because we live here too. We’re a local, family-run business, and like you, we don’t want spiders setting up shop in our living spaces.

Why Do Boise Homes Need Spider Control?

Spiders are natural hunters, which means they go where the food is. If your home has other insects like flies, ants, or beetles, spiders may follow in search of a meal. They’re especially drawn to quiet, undisturbed areas like basements, crawlspaces, attics, and garages.

Here in the Boise area, we most commonly see:

  • Common House Spiders – These small brown or yellow spiders build webs in corners and ceilings.
  • Hobo Spiders – Fast-moving and often mistaken for brown recluses, these guys prefer basements and crawlspaces.
  • Black Widows – While less common, they are present in Southern Idaho and pose a risk due to their venomous bite.

Signs You Might Have a Spider Problem

Most spider problems start quietly. Here’s what to look out for:

  • Webs in ceiling corners, windows, eaves, and garages
  • Egg sacs tucked away in closets or storage bins
  • Frequent sightings of medium or large spiders, especially in lower levels or storage areas
  • Other insects in the home (a food source for spiders)

Even if you’re only seeing one or two spiders here and there, remember—spiders are solitary. If you’re seeing a few, there may be more hiding just out of sight.

Are Spiders Dangerous?

Most spiders are harmless and even help control other pests. However, some species—like black widows—carry venom that can be harmful, especially to children and pets. Even non-venomous spiders can cause allergic reactions or stress just by their presence.
Beyond health concerns, webs and egg sacs make your home feel unclean and are difficult to remove once they accumulate.
